Easter Office Hours & Service Changes

Our Municipal Office will be closed on Friday, April 3 for Good Friday, and Monday, April 6 for Easter Monday.

If you are scheduled to receive garbage or recycling collection on Friday, April 3, your items will be collected on Monday, April 6. Garbage and recycling collection will return to the regular collection schedule the following week.

Total Burn Ban in Effect as of April 1, 2026

A total burn ban is in effect for Greater Napanee starting on April 1, 2026.

The Greater Napanee Fire Department implements a temporary open‑air burn ban during the high‑risk period following snowmelt and before vegetation fully greens. This is consistently the most dangerous time of year for grass and brush fires due to dry, dead vegetation, low humidity, and seasonal winds.

Under these conditions, even small or well‑intended burns can spread rapidly and become difficult to control. Spring wildfires present a significant risk to homes, farm buildings, infrastructure, agricultural lands, and natural areas, while also increasing hazards for responding firefighters.

Spring 2026 Leaf & Brush Collection

Spring Leaf & Brush Collection will begin on May 4 in rural areas and May 11 in urban areas. Here’s what you need to know:

Rural Area Collection:

  • Material will be collected the week of May 4-8
  • Residents must place materials at the curb by May 4
  • To have material collected in a rural area, residents must call 613‑354‑3351, ext. 113, prior to Friday, May 1 to arrange for pick up
Urban Area Collection (Highway 401 to County Road 8 at the golf course hill):
  • Material will be colelcted the week of May 11-15
  • Residents must place materials at the curb by May 11
Materials will be collected throughout each respective week. Don’t miss your pickup window!
