Total Burn Ban Downgraded to Partial Burn Ban

The Greater Napanee Fire Department downgraded the Total Burn Ban to a Partial Burn Ban effective Thursday, August 28, 2025.

A Partial Burn Ban allows residents to light and maintain a campfire of no more than 60 cm in width by 60 cm in height, used for cooking, warmth, and recreational enjoyment. Open-air burning is only permitted 2 hours before sunset until 2 hours after sunrise.

Open-air burning permits can be obtained on our website. 

Applications Open for the Community Initiatives Fund

September 15, 2025 

Applications are now being accepted for the new Community Initiatives Fund.

The Community Initiatives Fund is a municipal grant program that provides up to $15,000 per year (two intake periods) for local projects and events that benefit the Greater Napanee community. There will be $7,500 available each intake period.
