Canada Post Service Disruption
October 2, 2025
As of September 25, 2025, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) launched a national strike. During this strike, Canada Post mail and parcels will not be processed or delivered, and no new mail will be accepted.
The Town asks residents not to send payments or time-sensitive documents by mail and to use alternate options instead. Failure to receive bills does not excuse people from payment or from penalties for late payment. You are still responsible for paying bills and parking tickets on time.
Parking Tickets:
The following alternative methods are available to pay parking tickets:
- Online through the Town's website
- In-person at 99 Advance Avenue during office hours, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m
Additional information about these payment methods is available on our Pay a Parking Ticket page.
Property Taxes:
The following alternative methods are available to pay property taxes:
- Credit card payment
- Online banking
- Pre-authorized payment plans
- Directly at most financial institutions
- In-person at 99 Advance Avenue during office hours, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Additional information about these payment methods is available on our Property Taxes page.
If you want to verity whether a recent property tax payment was received, please call 613-354-3351 or email taxes@greaternapanee.com.
Utilities:
-
Residential/Commercial Customers: Our residential and commercial customers are billed bi-monthly. The next bi-monthly bills are expected to be issued by October 31, 2025, and will be due November 26, 2025.
-
Bulk Water/Hauled Sewage/Large Industrial Customers: Our bulk water accounts, septage haulers, and some larger industrial users are billed monthly. The monthly bills will be issued the week of October 1, and will be due October 29, 2025. Due to the limited number of customers on monthly billing, our Utilities Clerks will be reaching out to those customers directly.
If the postal strike is still ongoing after October 31, 2025, we encourage account holders to contact the Utilities Department at 613-354-3351 to confirm their account balance.
The following alternative methods are available to pay utility bills:

- In-person at 99 Advance Avenue during office hours, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
