Our Building and Planning Department provide a wide range of advisory and regulatory services pertaining to land use matters and the enforcement of the Ontario Building Code and some Municipal By-laws. It is responsible for the review and administration of applications for planning and building approvals.

The Departments work together to make your development project is as smooth and seamless as possible while maintaining the best interests of the community. Staff strives to provide exceptional service and advice to Council, the public, developers, and the building industry.

The Department answers zoning requests for the Municipality, which include written responses to solicitors and financial institutions when ownership of a property is transferring, and/or for mortgage purposes. 


Zoning information is available by online form only.

Once submitted, a phone consultation or in-person meeting can be arranged, if required. 

In-person consultations for Planning matters are by appointment only.
