Greater Napanee Fire Department Recruiting Paid On-Call Firefighters

The Greater Napanee Fire Department is currently recruiting Paid On-Call Firefighters for all three fire stations.

A recruitment night will be held on July 9 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at 66 Advance Avenue, Napanee. Attendees are encouraged to bring their families and learn more about the role, requirements, and application process.

Starting June 1, 2026, residents will be required to report all garbage collection concerns directly to Waste Management’s call centre. This change will improve customer service and response times.

Greater Napanee Budget Update - 2026 Budget Invests in Encampment Management

As part of the 2026 Budget, additional funding has been allocated to support contracted encampment clean-up services and additional legal expenses. Throughout 2026, the Town will continue to provide education and enforcement under the Parks By-law and Encampment Response Protocol.

To ensure that encampment management remains a priority, this will be a dedicated service level for the Town’s Municipal Law Enforcement.

Continued fire services support will also be prioritized in 2026 to ensure the safety of those located in and around encampments.
