Winter Events & Festivals:

Virtual Story Time with Santa (Month of December)
Santa himself is coming to us virtually from the North Pole! Tune into our Facebook page or YouTube channel once a week in December as Santa reads 3 Christmas stories to us each day.
The days are:
  • Friday, December 3
  • Friday, December 10
  • Friday, December 17

Parade of Lights (Saturday, December 4, 2021)

Santa comes to Greater Napanee for our annual Parade of Lights. Bring the family to watch holiday floats make their way along the parade route as they welcome Santa into Town.

When: Saturday, December 4, 2021 beginning at 5:30 p.m.
What to Bring: Donations of non-perishable food items are being accepted along the parade route in support of the Salvation Army.
Children are welcome to bring their letters to Santa, which will be collected along the parade route.

COVID-19 Health & Safety Protocols will be in place at all times. Physical distancing is required. Masks/face coverings are required at all times at this outdoor organized event. 


The Parade of Lights route is as follows:

  • Starting at Enviro Park Lane onto Belleville Rd
  • Belleville Rd to West St
  • West St to Dundas St
  • Dundas St to Adelphi St
  • Adelphi St to Bridge St
  • Bridge St to Centre St
  • Centre St to Graham St
  • Graham St to West St
  • West St and finishing back at Enviro Park Lane

Please note: A full road closure will be in effect during the parade. Roads will re-open progressively once the parade has passed through. Please do not park your vehicles along the parade route.

 

Not comfortable in a crowd? Not to worry, we've got you covered! Enjoy the parade from the comfort of home by watching it livestreamed via our YouTube channel.

2021 Greater Napanee Fire Services Firefighters' Toy Drive (Ongoing until December 17, 2021)

Our Greater Napanee Fire Services department is accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys, non-perishable food items and monetary donations for this year's Firefighters' Toy Drive.

Drop off location: Greater Napanee Fire Services - Napanee Fire Hall (66 Advance Ave)
When: Donations can be dropped off Monday - Friday from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm until December 17, 2021.

Thanks to the wonderful community support from last year's Firefighters' Toy Drive, our Fire Services department was able to provide the following:

  • 35 food baskets were provided to local families and 12 boxes of diapers and baby wipes were donated to families with infants and toddlers
  • 68 children in the community received gifts for Christmas
  • 20 sets of mittens/hats were provided to local children
  • 2 truckloads of food donations were provided to community members in need
Big Bright Light Season (November 2021 - January 2022) 
Volunteers and staff are busy every fall getting ready to make the Town sparkle. Take a drive through downtown Napanee between November - January and enjoy the view! We make the Town sparkle every year with our festive light display that is sure to get you into the holiday spirit! 
New Year's Eve Family Dance Party - Postponed Until Further Notice Due to COVID-19

Ring in the New Year with us at our annual New Year's Eve Family Dance Party at the Strathcona Paper Centre!
Activities include free public skating, popcorn, music, games and more.

Hometown Market (June-September)

The Hometown Market runs every Saturday (rain or shine) at the Strathcona Paper Centre (South Lawn) from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm between the months of June - September.
