Infrastructure Services oversees all activities that occur within the following departments:

Building Department

The Building department manages building permit applications for the Town of Greater Napanee and ensures building plans meet the rules and regulations of:
  • The Ontario Building Code
  • Property Standards By-law

Parks & Facility Services

The Parks and Facilities Services department is responsible for the maintenance and development of Town owned and operated parks and recreation facilities and includes:
  • Facility bookings (ice rental, community halls, meeting rooms)
  • Parks and trails
  • Baseball diamonds
  • Playgrounds

Planning Department

 The Planning department consists of Development and Policy Planning sections which manage:
  • Official Plan
  • Zoning and zone changes
  • Planning applications (Land Severance, Minor Variance or Plan of Subdivision/Condominium)
  • Site Plan Review
  • Committee of Adjustment
  • Planning processes

Public Works

 The Public Works department is responsible for the maintenance and services provided to the public including:
  • Winter maintenance operations
  • Streetlights
  • Street signs
  • Tree trimming
  • Grading
  • Ditches and Culverts
  • Storm sewers
  • Road construction projects
  • Municipal waste disposal sites

Utilities Department

 The Utilities Department maintains Napanee's water and wastewater systems. Their duties include:
  • Operation and maintenance of the water and waste water infrastructure
  • Maintenance and repair of the water distribution system (water)
  • Maintenance and repair of sanitary systems (wastewater)
  • Installation and repair of watermain breaks
