Assumption of Risk

The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19, like many other viruses, is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. As a result, Federal, Provincial and Municipal Governments and Health Agencies continue to recommend the practice of physical distancing and the use of face coverings/masks.

While the Town of Greater Napanee has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19, the Town cannot guarantee that you/or your child(ren) will not become infected with COVID-19, or any other virus. Further, attending programs or facilities in the Town of Greater Napanee could increase your risk and your child(ren)’s risk of contracting COVID-19, or any other virus.

Compliance with Public Health Requirements
  • Individuals who do not comply with KFL&A Public Health requirements may be subject to fines of $750 to $1000 with a maximum fine of $ 100,000. Corporations found to be noncompliant can be fined up to $10,000,000 for each day or part of each day on which the offence occurs or continues.
  • These updated protocols are in effect starting 6am EST December 6th, 2021
  • All these protocols are subject to change based on the discretion of the facility or provincial legislation.
