(GREATER NAPANEE, ON) – Due to the amount of rain received recently, Greater Napanee Emergency Services is downgrading the “Total Burn Ban” to a “Partial Burn Ban” that will come into effect Friday, May 3, 2019.
A “Partial Burn Ban” will allow residents to light and maintain a campfire of no more than 60 cm in width by 60 cm in height, used for cooking, warmth and/ or recreational enjoyment.

Greater Napanee Emergency Services is declaring a Total Burn Ban in Greater Napanee, effective Monday, April 1, 2019
A Total Burn Ban prohibits lighting any fires in open air and prohibits any activities that may start a fire, i.e. setting off fireworks. Due to the dry conditions, fires can start and spread quickly and burn intensely. All fires are potentially dangerous.
