The Detachment Commander Message from the 2012 Business Plan, Ontario Provincial Police

"Through crime analysis and consultation with our community partners, crime prevention measures reflecting the unique needs of our communities are currently being assessed.

We are committed during this three-year business planning cycle to fully implement Ontario's Mobilization and Engagement Model of Community Policing. Every officer and every involved citizen will be able to understand and implement this model in a flexible and efficient way that addresses each community's unique challenges. We are currently working with our police service boards and key members of our detachment in an effort to better understand, refine and implement the model. We are going to crawl, then walk and then run with this new model in an effort to bring about significant, positive and lasting change in our communities. We will make mistakes as we go but I am absolutely convinced we are headed in the right direction. Don't blink, you might miss it..."
